Die Schmiedezange hat lange runde Hebelarme und wurde für runde Schmiedestücke verwendet. Aus diesem Grund sind die Backen der Zange rund und dem Werkstück angepaßt. Die Zange wurde in der Schmiede verwendet und wahrscheinlich auch dort selbst hergestellt.
